The Product Support and Services IT organization has an opening for a Mid-Level Programmer/Application Developer supporting multiple application products. This position will be participating in Agile software development teams to deliver on commitments for services and applications to support the Boeing Training Solutions Services business. A successful candidate will need to be a full stack developer with expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead/Participate in technical teams to design, program, test, implement, maintain and document computing applications.
- Analyze, gather and evaluate end user requirements. Work with Product Specialists, System and/or Technical Architects, UX Designer and Business SMEs to design systems and programs to meet highly complex business needs.
- Lead/support efforts to design, develop, test and deploy complex computing code and database objects to modify, upgrade and maintain software applications.
- Provide technical support for Production Support issues.
- Review system performance and identify and recommend improvements.
- Provide leadership and work guidance to offshore development teams and less experienced personnel.
- Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews for offshore and onshore development teams.
- Provides guidance to technical teams on processes followed during development, estimation, code review, testing, code branching and deployment.
- Develops complex test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
- Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
- Must be willing to work at off hours to support communication with team members located outside US and for production support as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years’ experience in building and deploying .NET applications
- 3+ years’ experience with software programming processes, including but not limited to, version control, block point packaging and releasing, etc.
- 3+ years’ experience with relational databases, PL/SQL scripting and optimization
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience with and/or knowledge of .NET Framework and .NET Core.
- 3+ years of experience with and/or knowledge of SQL Server DB
- 3+ years of experience with front end web programming such as AngularJS or React
- 3+ years of experience with database backend development
- 3+ years of experience working in Agile Software Development using tools like Azure DevOps, TFS or VersionOne.
- 3+ years of experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) using appropriate code versioning, build and test automation tools.
Typical Education & Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
