Job Description
Responsible for a wide range of Acquisition, Maintenance, and Modernization Life Cycle Logistics areas that are conducted as a function of New Construction, Modernization, and Sustainment actions impacting the Sustainability and Supportability of the Aegis Weapon Systems installed in Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers (DDG-51) and Ticonderoga Class Cruisers (CG-47). Responsible for providing Program Office support to the PEO IWS 1SL PAPM and his APMs, ensuring logistics plans, financial documentation, and correspondence are prepared, staffed, and executed in compliance with PEO IWS 1SL Program goals. Provide logistics research and analysis and propose solutions to the customer for the life cycle of logistics products(s) and services for Aegis Weapons Systems (AWS) and Aegis Ashore; for example, acquisition, contracts, sustainment, delivery, or disposal.
Develop and/or assess Task Planning Sheets for future year (FY) planning, track requirements, allocations, and expenditures against benchmarks.
Analyze and evaluate Fielding Plan Profiles, Baseline Development Schedules, and shipyard availabilities to determine impacts to timing of acquisition/logistics support.
Research, analyze, plan, and develop provisioning documents for Installation and Check Out (INCO), Depot/Wholesale, and Onboard Repair spares (OBRP) to meet ship modification/construction and Baseline Assessment Memorandum (BAM) schedules.
Review Navy Instructions, Policies, and other official technical documentation, to ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and provide feedback.
Assist the customer with various programmatic duties to include, but not limited to, meeting attendance/support, develop presentations, meeting minutes, action items and tracking, weekly reporting.
Travel as required to attend quarterly Ship Program Reviews (SPR), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and other Stakeholder meetings in support of acquisition and sustainment logistics.
Communicate with a wide variety of technical and non-technical activities on wide range of integrated logistics and sustainment topics for modernization and new construction AEGIS platforms.
Responsible for conducting Product Support Analyses (PSA) to ensure that supportability is included as a system performance requirement and to ensure the system is concurrently developed or acquired with the optimal support system and infrastructure. PSA includes the integration of various analytical techniques with the objective of designing and developing an effective and efficient Product Support Package. The primary techniques used in PSA include: Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), and core logistics analysis, source of repair analysis, and depot source of repair analysis.
Responsible for having general knowledge of all Product Support Elements pertinent to ILS certification activities, PHS&T, Task Planning Sheets (TPSs), Interim Support procedures and processes, Provisioning, Configuration Control Board familiarity, Baseline Assessment Memorandum (BAM) procedures. More About the Role:
Responsible for providing quality coverage for customer requirements as it applies to performing Product Support analysis and studies. This includes doing material pricing research and parametric cost/pricing Business Case Analyses (BCA) to determine best value. Must possess strong communication skills both orally and written as well as experience in building and presenting presentations/briefings to Senior Leadership.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of practical experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and/or Program Management Support
Active Secret Security Clearance
Experience with sustainment and acquisition logistics product support elements
Working knowledge of the Baseline Assessment Memorandum (BAM) and provisioning process
Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes within NAVSEA
Colors of money (O&MN, OPN, SCN, and RDT&E)
Experience with Task Planning Sheets (TPS), or their equivalent
Ability to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written presentations
Strong background in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Equivalent of a DAU Level II Certification in Logistics or Program Management
U.S. Navy Veteran with SK/LS or Junior Supply Officer experience
Working knowledge of Product Support Data (PSD) Sheets
Attention to detail
Prior experience with logistics support elements for the AEGIS Weapon System (AWS)/AEGIS Combat System (ACS)
U.S. Navy Veteran with an AWS background
Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses ACQ 101 and LOG 101
