Meter Technician

Vanguard Utility Service, Inc. is a leader in AMR/AMI installations, water, gas and electric meter change outs, testing and repair. We are looking to expand our workforce for the growing demands with career seeking individuals that are available to travel to various projects across the United States. This position offers excellent income potential and advancement opportunities. Meter Technicians replace existing water meters at different project locations across the United States. Most projects consist of performing replacements in routes that consist of houses and possibly businesses in neighborhoods. An entire workday may consist of locations within a couple mile radius. Technicians will be required to use their own transportation.

Vanguard is currently recruiting for a project in Valdosta, GA.

We are looking for individuals who are interested in working only at the Valdosta, GA project as well as those who are interested in travel.

Meter Technicians are full time employees and receive a W-2 at the end of the year.

Meter Technicians are paid on a piece rate basis, the piece rate is $9.00 - $11.00 per meter installed.

Meter Technicians are compensated for any hours worked over 40 hrs. per week.

Meter Technicians are paid for training.

Meter Technicians will be required to use their own transportation and provide valid proof of vehicle insurance.

All tools to perform the job are provided by Vanguard Utility Service, Inc.

Plumbing/Irrigation/Construction Experience is Preferred

Must Have Valid Driver's License & Maintain Valid Car Insurance Showing an Expiration Date;

Must Be Willing to Use Their Own Transportation to Drill Meter Lids on Routes Normally Within A Couple Mile Radius.
