Cypress Creek Hospital, a freestanding 128-bed facility, located in north Houston, has been faithfully serving Houston and surrounding communities for over 20 years. Mental Health Technician Position Summary: The Mental Health Technician is responsible for providing direct care to psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being by supporting the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities include:

• Provide a safe environment by conducting patient observation rounds
• Assist in maintaining a safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for patients
• Assist patients with daily activities

QualificationsPosition Requirements: Education: H.S. diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred. Experience: Two years related experience in a mental health role or a combination of education and experience totaling a minimum of two years Licensure: None. Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certification may be obtained during orientation. Additional Requirements: None.
