    Qualifications
    • Previous swim coaching (any level) and/or swimming experience (preferably at the collegiate level)
    • Understanding of MHSAA rules and regulations
    • Proven ability to handle administrative responsibilities of a sports team
    • Ability to communicate, foster, and maintain positive relationships with students, other coaches, administrators, news media, boosters, and parents
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Successful experience in mentoring and developing a coaching staff
    • Knowledge of current training methods that are proven effective through research
    • Possess good motivational skills
    • Ability to plan both short and long term to guide the direction of the swimming program
    • Ability to recruit and retain athletes in your sport
    • Completion of concussion awareness training
    • CPR/AED certified or willing to complete prior to starting
    • Lifeguard certification or willing to complete prior to starting
    • Must undergo fingerprinting and criminal background check
    • Completion of MHSAA CAP 1 and CAP 2
