Job Description

Total compensation yearly potential, base and commission: $65,000 - $78,000.
This is a remote position in any of the following states:

The Role
The Member Development Specialist (MDS) pre-qualifies inquirers for our various Medi-Share program(s), communicates the purpose and mission of Christian Care Ministry to outside sources, creates new prospect records, documents initial and follow-up contact information, and completes phone applications for eligible inquirers. In addition this position is responsible for working leads provided by Marketing with the primary goal of converting these leads to new members.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of all CCM product guidelines: the Medi-Share, Senior Assist, MANNA, as well as any new programs or services
  • Effectively and accurately explain guideline information to prospects and staff members
  • Follow up on all new leads and referrals resulting from inbound calls, events, landing pages and all advertising and marketing activities
  • Select days, times and communication channels most likely to reach potential customers; prioritize leads by quality and/or size of opportunity
  • Manage a personal daily activity list (via: receiving and returning phone, email or mail correspondence) to ensure the timely completion of follow-up contact to acquire new members and assist them in the process of referring new members to the Ministry
  • Pre-qualify new prospective members, ensuring they are good candidates for the program(s)
  • Prepare pricing options and applications in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Initiate requests for Program Guides, brochures, applications, and other related marketing materials to be mailed to prospective members
  • Develop and maintain talking points, FAQs, responses to common objections and other sales materials to educate potential customers and their families on our products and services and our advantages vs. competition and to build value thru meaningful conversations with prospective members
  • Achieve established MDS goals that may include, but are not limited to: Medi-Share and MANNA, calls per hour, monthly Medi-Share New Joiners, the accuracy of creating new prospect records, and maintaining App to New Joiner conversion goals
  • Participate in weekly departmental meeting as well as be an effective Member Development team player
  • Pray with prospects and applicants on every call
  • Contribute to the exercise and expression of the Ministry's Christian beliefs
  • All other duties as assigned

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Strong ability to persuade potential customers of the value of products and services, including demonstrated ability to initiate, advance and close sales
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or associates of organization
  • Excellent speech communication skills
  • Experience in tracking and working multiple leads and lead sources and effectively managing the sales cycle in order to drive opportunities to closure in a timely way
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with evening and occasional weekend hours
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Solid computer skills to successfully learn how to use and manipulate data and navigate the internet
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 - 5 years demonstrated successful experience in telesales or other sales roles required.
  • Healthcare sales focus preferred.
  • Certificate level education (or greater) preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
