Seeking an experienced Medical Staff Coordinator to join our dynamic team within Medical Staff Services. In this role, you will assist the Director with oversight of maintenance of Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professional and Dependent Health Practitioner files.   • You will assist in the preparation of Credentials Committee, applicable meetings with Service Chiefs and the follow-up resulting from the monthly meetings and report follow-up activities and outcomes to the director prior to Board of Trustees meetings.
  • You will process initial Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professional applications, reappointment applications and temporary privileges. Applies credentials evaluation process uniformly to all Medical, Advanced Practice Professional applications and reapplications to ensure compliance with internal credentialing procedures.
  • As the medical staff coordinator, you will prepare medical staff updates for the hospital, maintain/update privilege delineations, and conduct downtime preparation activities.
  • You must coordinate with the quality department to facilitate focused professional practice evaluations and ongoing professional practice evaluations.
  • You will coordinate development of credentialing criteria and privilege revisions with Director and Service Chiefs as directed by the Credentials Committee and BOT. This will include annual review of privileges and activity by Service Chiefs.

Qualifications



Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a Hospital Medical Staff Office is required.
  • Two years of experience as a Medical Staff Coordinator preferred.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist Preferred.
