Providence is calling a Medical Scribe - Heart Clinic (1.0 FTE, Days) to Mother Joseph Plaza in Portland , OR.

We are seeking a Medical Scribe - Heart Clinic St V who will transcribe and document all aspects of clinical visits, as dictated by provider in real time, as well as track labs and enter results from any ordered tests. Dictation occurs in an exam room with patient, and provider, and also in an office setting with the provider only. Work closely with a team of clinic staff, including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
- Transcribe chart notes in real time from physicians and advance level providers including documenting HPI; past medical, family and social history; ROS; physical exam; diagnostic studies and interpretations; responses to medications and treatments; procedures; re-evaluation and consultations
- Type correspondence and special reports, as requested
- Proofread all work for accuracy and compliance with procedural guidelines
- Ensure timely application of dictated material to patients' records
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Scribe program -OR- six (6) months experience as a Medical Assistant, or as a Medical Scribe
- Experience with electronic medical records
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
- Some college
- Two (2) years experience in general hospital medical/surgical -OR- ambulatory care transcription
