Job Description

SpecOrtho is seeking an outgoing, motivated full time Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. We are an independent, family oriented practice and pride ourselves on the outstanding patient care we provide. Required Experience / Skills

  • Must have excellent customer service skills - in person and on phone and be able to converse clearly over the telephone and in person.
  • Ability to use telephone, fax, copier and other standard medical office equipment.
  • Detailed oriented and effective at multi tasking.
  • Organized and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively.
  • Must have team mentality, flexability and willingness to learn.
  • Must have minimum 1 year experience working in a medical office setting.
  • Prefer knowledge of insurance rules, medical terminology, electronic medical records, other office software.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone, and answering any referring inquiries.
  • Check patients into electronic system: enter patient demographics, verify insurance, Shares information regarding office policies.
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining records and accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information.
  • Maintain multiple provider schedules and follow up on cancellations and no shows.
  • Facilitate patient flow by notifying medical team of patients arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical team.
  • Organize and complete incoming and outgoing referrals.
  • Collect deductibles, co-pays and balances.
  • Assist with records requests and maintain a consistent process to ensure done in a timely manner.
  • Maintains operations by following polices and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Assist with miscellaneous office tasks and supply ordering.
  • Keep front lobby area neat and clean.
  • Daily cash reconciliation processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
