Medical Laboratory Scientist I, Morris Plains

Overview: Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Laboratory Scientist I for our Morris Plains Molecular Lab to work 10pm - 6am two days per week and every other weekend.Responsibilities:Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:

• Processing and accessioning of Molecular/Immunology patient specimens
• Analyze and report patient results
• Call critical results
• Perform quality control as per SOP
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Maintain inventory of supplies
• Stay current by continuing education, competencies
• Able to lift 20 lbs.

Qualifications:Minimum Education Required:

• BS, MT or MLS (ASCP) or eligible
• In order to be considered for an interview: Must provide copy of BS diploma with MT or MLS specified on diploma
• If MT or MLS not specified, must provide transcript
• If foreign diploma, must provide foreign equivalency.
