Job Summary:
The Medical Lab Tech 2 performs routine clinical pathology testing appropriate to cytogenetic laboratory services under occasional guidance. Responsible to accurately record results and assure timely delivery of results. Has the authority, responsibility and accountability for the accurate performance of laboratory test methodologies. These tests are used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients and the evaluation of the patient's response to treatment. Applies clinical knowledge to achieve accurate clinical test results which leads to quality patient care outcomes.

Position Qualifications:
Required:
- MLS or MLT Categorical Equivalent Certification and Medical Technologist or Technician Licensure in the state of Tennessee. Allowed 120 days to obtain State of Tennessee categorical equivalent license. Considered 'in training' prior to license approval and 1 year of relevant work experience
Desired:
- Prior diagnostic laboratory Core benchwork with high volumes and demanding turnaround times
