. JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide supervisory and highly technical skills for illustration projects of advanced complexity.
Min Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field; 3 years related experience
Specific Job Related Duties
To provide supervisory and highly technical skills for illustration projects of advanced complexity. Duties to include, but are not limited to:
- Assists faculty, residents, and staff with graphic design and layout for illustrations in poster presentations, lectures, book chapters, and marketing materials.
- Takes photographs for new faculty and staff and Department events/publications.
- Coordinates and/or prepares Department quarterly newsletter, resident recruitment materials, and handbooks.
- Updates the Department’s website and provider directory.
- Formulates concepts and supervises support personnel engaged in layout design or medical illustration.
- Discusses projects of subordinates at various stages of completion and recommends changes as needed.
- Reviews final layout and either makes changes or approves the projects.
- Supervises and participates in the design of art and copy layouts for medical phenomena to be presented in visual communications media such as books, magazines, newspapers, television, leaflets, and brochures.
- Studies illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of material, product or service.
- Meets with faculty members, research personnel, and affiliated agencies to determine their needs regarding exhibits or illustrations.
- Constructs and supervises the construction of teaching models in plaster, wax, plastics, and other material to show anatomy, physiology and various parts of the body.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
- Performs related duties as required.
Salary Range: $69,000-$93,288
