Job Description

Rapidly growing National medical billing company specializing in Work Comp and Personal Injury claims, located in New York City looking for a motivated and detail oriented, Medical Billing and Collection Specialist with at least two years’ experience billing medical insurance claims preferably with Work Comp and Personal Injury specific experience.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Calling and processing of WC and PI prescription claims
  • Unpaid claims follow up and tracking
  • Follow up with our doctor clients, insurance companies and attorneys as necessary.
  • Incorrect payment EOB review.
  • Filing appeals with insurance companies on coding errors

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Great people and phone skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with particular knowledge of Excel
  • Experience and proficiency with medical billing software
  • Experience working in HIPAA dictated environment
  • Ability to spend most of the time on the phone requesting additional payment on claims processed incorrectly.
