Medical Billing Specialist

Qualifications: High school or equivalent (Preferred), ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred), Medical Billing: 1 year (Preferred), Medical Collections: 1 year (Preferred)

Full Job Description: Education-High School Diploma or equivalent, work experience in medical billing and/or collections. Must be able to type, write, review accounts, work A/R reports, update patient addresses. Follow up on delinquent accounts, be able to run reports for billing, contact patients to discuss billing, ensure that patients are being sent to collections in a timely manner, notate patient accounts appropriately. Must be dependable, reliable and able to multitask. Must be able to explain billing with patients and explain insurance EOB information to patients, update insurance information. Experience with medical practice billing software required. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and electronic billing required. Must have billing or collections background (OB/Gyn Preferred). Must be able to communicate well with others, and must be able to work well under pressure. Must have excellent customer service skills and be a team player. Bilingual Preferred
