Job description
Basic Function:

Responsible for billing health care claims to all insurance types, tracking and posting payments, follow-up on over due accounts and providing end of the month financial information on a timely basis.

Specific Job Functions:

1. Bills all claims in a timely manner.

2. Ensures accuracy of billed charges prior to billing any claim.

3. Enters payments and billing adjustments on a regular basis.

4. Maintains tracking system for all billing information. Assists with claim audits.

5. Manages credit and collection activities on past due accounts.

6. Provides monthly financial reports to the Billing Supervisor within deadlines.

7. Communicates with Billing Supervisor on all accounts receivable/billing issues daily and/or weekly.

8. Assist the Billing Supervisor and take initiative to follow up on chart audit and all the billing processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Two years Medical Billing Experience - Home Health Experience Preferred
• Prior experience with Microsoft Office Products
• Detail Oriented
• Able to be bonded
• Must pass a background check
• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred

• Working knowledge of computer/technology required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.95 per hour
