Medical Assistant/Unit Clerk - Full Time

No Nights, Weekends or Holidays!!

Summerport Surgery Center is an Outpatient Surgery Center located in Windermere, Florida. We are looking for a Medical Assistant/Unit Clerk for our Pre-Operative and Post Operative Areas to join our growing center.

Specialties include Urology, GYN, General Surgery, GI, Pain Management, and Orthopedics.

• The Medical Assistant/Unit Clerk will work under the direction of RNs.
• Will assist RN with patient care in pre-operative and post operative areas. Including but not limited to bringing patients into pre-operative areas, assisting with vital signs, assisting post anesthesia nurses with dressing patients, helping patients to the bathroom and wheeling patients out after discharge.
• Communicates with physician offices in order to receive missing patient information, History and Physicals, Orders, clearances, etc.
• Assists with scheduling of COVID-19 testing and paperwork.
• Performs follow up calls to patients.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees.

• Ability to communicate well with patients, families, physicians, and staff

• Compensation depends on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS

• Experience working in an ASC is a plus.

• Bilingual a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
