Direct contact with patients, performing preliminary testing and exam elements in preparation for the exam with the provider. Position directly supports the provider to ensure an efficient clinic day.

- Use diagnostic testing equipment to obtain imaging and scans
- Collect a thorough medical and ocular history
- Measure visual acuity
- Perform Refractometry
- Measure side vision function
- Measure eye muscle function
- Measure eye pressure
- Assist provider with procedures, testing or exam
- Answer patient questions related to medications and care
- Contact pharmacy or insurance company for medication refills and questions
- Maintain cleanliness of all testing, exam and procedure rooms
- Sterilize surgical instruments
- Complete patient forms
- Assist co-workers to ensure an efficient clinic flow
- Maintain a TEAM mindset in all tasks
- Keep charts documented appropriately
- Maintain position quality and productivity standards in daily performance
- Ensure patient satisfaction is top priority in all job duties performed
- Maintain a positive behavior toward LEC processes, policies and all staff
