About the Job

Our ideal candidate is comfortable providing clinical skills to each patient, creating a safe and effective environment as well as promoting health and well-being. The medical assistant has procedural skills within the scope of practice and is able to document the patient’s experience.

Position responsibilities:

• Greet patients in person or on the phone by answering their questions
• Prepare patient for surgery
• Verify patient information by interviewing patient, reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, confirming purpose of visit
• Educate patients as needed
• Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment and test results
• Cleaning patient care areas

Qualifications:

• High School diploma
• Prefer that candidates have completed their Medical Assistant course and have a current certification but not required
• Availability Monday-Friday (4-5 days a week), 6:30am-4pm hours will vary
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail
• Ability to perform B/P, pulse, and EKG interpretation
• Must have knowledge of EHR, Excel and Word documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Ability to maintain discretion, accuracy and confidentiality with all patients
• Must be able to frequently stand, sit and walk
• Computer skills
