Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant: An endocrinology practice in Sugarland, Texas is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with excellent organizational, clinical, and customer service skills. Also looking for someone with a charismatic personality who is professional.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • All duties within the scope of a Certified Medical Assistant
  • Rooming patients, taking vitals and history
  • Recording patient care documentation in an electronic medical record accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting physician with procedures
  • Scanning patient information/records
  • Checking faxes daily
  • Organizing exam and treatment rooms, stocking and cleaning rooms, and sterilizing instruments
  • Front office responsibilities: Answering phones, Scheduling appointments, Greeting patients, Insurance verification, Check-in and check-out, obtaining prior authorizations if needed and Patient collections, obtaining faxes and attaching in the EMR

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Preferred Experience in Endocrinology
  • Highly proficient computer skills including experience with electronic medical records, practice management systems, and Microsoft Office
  • EMR/PMS experience a plus
  • Bilingual is preferred but not necessary

  • Endocrinology experience preferred, Internal Medicine experience OK: 1-2 years

Salary: Depending on Experience

Salary: $11 to $15 /hour
