Overview:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing administrative duties under the direction of the clinical staff. Also, under the direction of the Physician Assistant and/or Registered Nurse, additional duties include assisting with clinical procedures and physical examinations, and other occupational health services as needed.Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing administrative duties under the direction of the clinical staff. Also, under the direction of the Physician Assistant and/or Registered Nurse, additional duties include assisting with clinical procedures and physical examinations, and other occupational health services as needed.Responsibilities:
- Provides telephone/receptionist duties with ability to effectively communicate information regarding health services provided and procedures associated with same; schedules patient appointments; maintains administrative files and confidential medical records; types correspondence, reports, purchase orders for non-HHS supplies; orders office supplies; and performs related health unit administrative/clerical duties.
- Assists Health Unit staff in administration of Covid-19 Testing program. Will need to administer Rapid Response Covid-Testing, and assist with administrative duties for tracking results and other Covid Testing adminsitrative assignments.
- Other duties as assigned
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of One (1) full year of recent full-time employment experience as a Medical Assistant in an occupational setting
- Certification in an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred, but not required.
- Be able to clearly and effectively communicate with all patients and other healthcare providers.
- Working knowledge of computers
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
