We are a fast-paced, thriving cosmetic and general dermatology office seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, professional, and adaptable Medical Assistant who has a can-do attitude! The ideal candidate is someone who can work efficiently, enjoys the challenges of a multi-disciplinary office, and helping patients with all skin and aesthetic needs! We are looking for someone who wants to grow and build with our practice. We are willing to train new grads or someone who wants to pursue a career in the healthcare field as long as they are the right fit.

PREFFERED:

• Admin or clinical experience working in a healthcare office (Dermatology or Plastic Surgery experience highly valued).
• Must be tech-savvy and proficient using Electronic Medical Records system (EMA/Modernizing Medicine a plus!)
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong sales and customer service skills/experience to create the best patient experience from beginning to end.

GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare treatment rooms and conduct telehealth appointments with providers.
• Sterilize instruments.
• Collect and relay patient health and demographic information for/to providers.
• Coordinate with team and supervisor to ensure best patient care is achieved.
• Track and record lab results.
• Administering wound care.
• Greet and room patients; perform intake and health precaution screenings.
• Perform pre and post-treatment education for patients on all treatments.
• Track inventory and order medical supplies.
• Prepare pathology/culture specimen for lab pick up and processing.
• Educate patients on products and services available to enhance care.
• Perform sales transactions for products and services.
• Participate in social media and other digital/web-based promotions of the practice.
• E-Prescribe (will be taught).
• Answer phones with polish.

Our team consists of aesthetic and advanced medical practitioners who specialize in general dermatology, Mohs skin cancer surgery, lasers, and injectables at two office locations (Corte Madera and San Francisco). While San Francisco will be your home base, training and cross-coverage may be needed in Corte Madera occasionally throughout the year. This is a full-time, hourly position (32-40 hours) that includes some Saturday hours.
