Medical Assistant Position

Charleston ENT & Allergy is seeking a full-time certified Medical Assistant to join our practice! This critical role will provide efficient and competent support for our providers. Our Medical Assistants are one of the most important assets of our company! They are imperative to the daily flow of clinic by ensuring our patients get the care they need. Travel

We have an additional four offices for a total of two offices in the area! You may be asked to travel to any one of these offices at any time. Successful candidates will love challenges and thrive on spontaneity. This position is for the person that never wants to be bored at work.

Pay

We offer competitive pay! Start between $13.50-$15.50 depending on experience and work your way up. Take advantage of our transparent pay scale that includes reviews for your first two months, six months, and one year of tenure. Then enjoy performance reviews every SIX months for your first five years! Over time this could ultimately accumulate to $18-20/hr. Don’t miss out!

Duties

• Patient check in/out
• Clinic opening and closing
• Triaging patients and assisting physicians with patients and procedures
• Scheduling testing
• Calling in prescriptions
• Performing allergy shots, and taking vitals
• Administering tympanometry exams for ear pressure
• Managing hospital consultation requests for physicians
• Floating between front and back office responsibilities as needed
• Scanning patient records and other information as necessary
• Contacting insurance companies to pre-certify tests and procedures for Physicians
• Providing excellent customer service to patients
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Medical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA). Must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Knowledge of vital signs and patient triaging.
• Maturity when dealing with fellow employees and patients.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
