Position Summary: Rapidly growing independent regional dermatopathology practice with state-of-the-art histology laboratory has an immediate opening for a Marketing/Sales Representative. The two main objectives for the marketing/sales representatives at DermLab are to (1) generate new business from clients not currently using DermLab, and (2) maintain existing client relationships.
Reports to: Physicians and COO.
Education/Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Knowledge of the independent anatomic laboratory industry, especially dermatopathology
· Experience in dermatology medical sales and/or marketing
· Proven track record of sales success
· Outstanding communication skills, including written, oral and presentations
· General business knowledge and skills, including budgeting, strategic marketing plans, financial analysis
· Client service focus, including the ability to build positive relationships and identify key decision-makers
· Travel and overnight stays required
· Valid drivers license with good driving record
Responsibilities Include, but not Limited to:
· Market/sell DermLab’s services to dermatologists and other related specialties
· Create a sales and marketing plan for assigned territory, including goals, resource allocation and potential clients
· Build and maintain long-term relationships as a business partner with clients and potential clients; build positive relationships and networks with doctors, other providers and medical office staff members
· Work with DermLab staff and pathologists to resolve client problems or concerns related to customer service, report delivery, logistics, insurance billing and other concerns.
· Effectively manage expenses, expense reports and related software/mobile apps, including documenting activities in SalesForce
· Collaborate and cooperate as a team with DermLab’s management, pathologists and other sales/marketing representatives.
· Adhere to DermLab’s employment policies, including company vehicle use policies.
· Travel to defined geographic locations to call on clients and potential clients at doctors’ offices and clinics.
· Assist in the management of content on the DermLab website and social media
· Plan, Participate and execute special events, trade shows, teaching events and conferences as approved by pathologists
· Responsible for any and all additional job tasks, duties and obligations as the pathologists and COO may assign from time-to-time.
