Medicaid Eligibility Specialist-Revenue Management FT 8:00am

Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale has been a respected leader in healthcare since its founding in 1938. Full Time Eligibility Specialist 80 Hours per pay period. 08:00am-4:30pm. Weekends require. High School graduation or equivalent. Three years of related experience required. Bilingual (Spanish/English)(Creole, Portuguese)preferred. Interviews uninsured patients to determine potential eligibility for governmental funding and provide personal assistance with the application process and maintains contact with regulating agencies and appropriate Broward Health departments regarding eligibility status. Update appropriate systems with accurate status to ensure timely processing. To support collection of accounts receivable and to support optimal accounts receivable management. In the Medical Centers this also includes collections of co-pays and deductibles of insured patients that are admitted to the hospital.
