POSITION OVERVIEW

The Planning team builds and maintains strong client relationships. Their focus is to think strategically about the business, develop business by building opportunities and actively contribute to the planning process. This team effectively problem solves, generates innovative solutions and displays energy and passion for the work presented. Mediahub strives to challenge the status quo by consistently looking beyond the quantitative. To be most successful at Mediahub, you must be organized, creative, and confident to support media issues relative to your account(s).

The successful candidate must also maintain a positive attitude in the face of a constantly changing environment. Must be a problem solver and professional in all communications both inside the agency and with clients. Media Planners must have strong mathematical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of media fundamentals.
  • Gather and analyze appropriate research to provide sound and strategic consumer insight driven media recommendations.
  • Ensure proper execution of media plans by monitoring buys/schedules.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Mediahub and industry systems/tools (Kantar, MRI).
  • Build trustworthy relationships internally, with agency partners and with clients and appropriately respond to client needs.
  • Guide and manage assistant media planners, providing a reliable source for new employees and relieving managers of day-to-day tasks
  • Develop strategically sound, technically correct and accurate Media Plans for clients.
  • Regularly solicit and evaluate value added opportunities for clients.
  • Inputting of buys, trafficking for digital buys, Media Authorizations, issuing of Insertion Orders, initial understanding and assistance (as needed) with Billing Process, updating team status documents and working across the internal cross functional teams (Video Investments, R&D Labs, creative, etc.).
  • Evaluation of media (OTT, TV, Cinema, OLV, Print, OOH, etc.).
  • Additional tasks include Reach/Frequency runs (IMS Tools) and Pulling target information from MRI, SCOUT (our Mediahub proprietary tool).
  • Taking and/or reviewing AMP notes from all meetings and disseminating them for final review before being sent to the larger team.
  • Responsible for key research runs and starting to build the ability to critically assess the data for strategies (with input from Snr. Planner/Supervisor).
  • You will manage some partner negotiations with limited oversight and assistance from your Senior Planners and Supervisors. You will be responsible for contributing to/preparing/writing slides for client presentation decks.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with media reps.
  • Keep up with latest trends/events in advertising and automotive industry and other client related industries.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of client's business.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in business administration/marketing or equivalent experience preferred.

1+ years of experience within a top creative and/or media shop (and top culture brands) preferred.

  • Must be able to occasionally travel to supported markets or client events
  • Desire to learn new things, both formally and informally.
  • Passion to collaborate in a creative environment.
  • Ability to work on several projects at once.
  • Excellent communication skills. And developing negotiation skills
  • Understanding of the ever changing media landscapes, inclusive of both Traditional and digital media planning/buying
  • Proficient in Power Point
  • Advanced Word, Excel and Writing Skills
