Summary

SproutLoud's Media Buy Coordinator (MBC) is responsible for supporting our customers with day-to-day projects and marketing initiatives using SproutLoud technology. This individual is knowledgeable about media buy placement (ie. Radio, Television, Print, Outdoor, Malls and Events) and knows how to get the most value for each customer. The MBC is able to handle high volume of work and thrives on the energy of working in a fast paced environment. This individual is detail oriented and process driven and always looking to find innovative ways to improve day to day processes.


Challenges


  • Work directly with newspapers, magazines, and broadcast companies to coordinate the proper placement, highest value-add, and optimal use of budgeted funds to place ads
  • Coordinate schedules and facilitate payments on the execution of all media buy campaigns and event participation; this includes customer contact to coordinate and communicate progress, confirm order details as well as share Co-op and OOP charges
  • Implement and manage effective media buys under supervision of the Team Lead and DRI
  • Work with both internal and external vendors to produce creative for print and broadcast media types
  • Review all creative for accuracy and brand guideline coop compliance
  • Review contracts prior to coordination with vendor on behalf of customer
  • Communicate with client creative teams to establish ad creative and content
  • Coordinate invoice reconciliation and discrepancy on behalf of customer
  • Foster strong relationships with media partners and mall/event vendors
  • Coordinate Media Buys and negotiate make goods with vendor on behalf of the customer
  • Prepare post-buy custom reporting for Media Buy effectiveness to customer and clients
  • Provide Top Level Customer support to all Partners and Vendors (Unassigned and Assigned)
  • Become and remain fully trained on SproutLoud technology
  • Accurately track support time per Master/Client project and tasks
  • Provide clear instruction around Vendor payments, terms and dates on all Media Buys facilitated
  • Maintain communication between internal teams, coordinate fulfillment of dedicated client needs; including Account Managers, Media Payables, Traffic Coordinators and Digital Production Teams
  • Communicate to Team Lead and team members regarding impediments and necessary features identified for improvements
  • Provide top level customer service on all customers inquiries and requests: this includes Media Buy campaigns, Direct Mail, custom creative support, Digital ads, STYD, Payment problems, Funds and DIY Campaigns
  • Responsible for insight on all Media Buy Campaign related items including creative, invoices, payment problems and reporting
  • Coordination of all aspects related to Media Buy Campaign across Traditional media up to and including Digital ads within customers ad campaign
  • Specialities include communications around Media Buy campaign, Paid Media Marketing, Customer Service, Vendor relations, document review and distribution, scheduling.

Qualifications and Skills


  • Assertive personality with a “clients first” attitude which carries over through written and verbal communication
  • Ability to adapt and respond to vendors, market needs and relationships
  • Have the desire to help solve problems and impediments by using resourcefulness and creativity
  • Provide the right balance between being resourceful, independent and collaborative
  • Familiarity with placing and/or buying media including general customer service skills
  • Confidently speak through customer and vendor objections
  • Ability to learn new technologies, software and processes quickly
  • Strong organizational skills


Not required, but a plus:

  • Experience in Direct Mail marketing and list purchasing
  • Strong strategic and negotiation skills
  • Ability to grasp and understand marketing concepts
