Product Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, OH


Provide technical leadership and support for Product/Design Engineering tasks and projects in a team environment to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of these activities to meet customer expectations.


Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate hardware discrepancies to contract requirements and design integrity with the intent of determining proper technical disposition and justification to customer.
  • Perform and review structural and mechanical analyses using computer software and standard engineering principles.
  • Prepare and review technical reports for customer submittal and approval.
  • Generate and maintain computer models and drawings of component parts and assemblies.
  • Interface with customers, engineers, and other functional departments in support of engineering department objectives.
  • Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Entry level to Senior candidates will be considered, salary commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of stress analysis.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
  • Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
  • Established leadership ability and skills.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (ANSYS) preferred.
  • Experience with Pro/E Creo CAD software preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
