Title: Mechanical Electrical Technician

Start Date: 2/1/21

End Date: 12/2021

Location: Houston, TX

Project Information:

Individual will need experience with diesel reciprocating engines. Client needs a full time mech-elect technician for minor maintenance on the equipment to have the engines ready for deployment to any of the power rental projects that client has worldwide.

Main objective of the position:

Participate in the corrective and preventive mechanical or electrical maintenance of the equipment, according to the needs of the plant and the maintenance program, as well as the reconditioning of parts, when necessary.

Direct Report: Project Manager

Academic Training: Mechanical or Electrical maintenance technician.

Required Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance process, specific knowledge in Diesel Engines

Main Responsibilities:

Apply mandatory preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance routines in the generating equipment and auxiliary systems of the project.

Interpret technical literature (Manuals, P&ID) to execute the maintenance plan.

Support according to indications and the work plan the change of components and peripherals of the equipment.

Support major repairs in the component disassembly phases.

Identify substandard operating conditions and out-of-range components of the equipment and systems of the assigned plant.

Perform part reconditioning (up to cylinder heads) when necessary.

Apply metrology concepts.

Conduct non-destructive testing.

Feed the Service Call in the ERP assigned in relation to the maintenance work carried out.

Carry out washing tasks and routine inspections of the generation equipment and auxiliary systems to guarantee the optimal operation of the project.
