Position Overview:


Hanley Energy is currently looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Agent to join our team. This role is within the Hanley US East Region providing project support to the commissioning staff.


The ideal candidate will provide technical competence within the mechanical commissioning staff through the collaborative development of concepts and designs, review of electrical designs and engineering documentation, problem resolution, and testing of new and existing systems.


The successful applicant will have a strong track record of meeting deadlines, attention to detail and consistency. You will operate as part of a multifunctional global team where your ideas and innovative spark can have great impact. This role requires an individual who has a “think differently to solve problems” attitude.


This is a permanent position with progression opportunities at both local and international levels.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Utilize commissioning scripts to thoroughly test customers mechanical systems and meet customers’ requirements
  • Follow schedules to efficiently commission equipment that satisfies customers strict timelines
  • Effectively communicate issues or concerns to project lead
  • Attend commissioning meetings with customers and team members
  • Produce documentation in accordance with company/customer requirements
  • Comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements.
  • Travel to customer sites as required.

Requirements:


  • Work within a team environment, as well as independently. Be a self-starter to execute a variety of project functions efficiently and professionally.
  • Support the commissioning team assigned projects primarily in the Ashburn, VA region
  • Knowledge of power distribution, control systems and mechanical systems
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory and control circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Demonstrate ability to develop innovative solutions to address complex technical problems
  • Experience working within Data Centers and Mission Critical facilities
  • Ability to interact with customers on technical requirements
  • Ability to interact with multiple trades to efficiently solve problems with equipment
  • Knowledge of construction safety and protocols (highly desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with fluent English
  • Demonstrating compliance to International Standards and Client Specifications

Experience:


  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and how they interact
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry.
  • Experience executing commissioning scripts
  • Previous experience working in team driven projects
  • Experience working with customers as a services vendor
  • Experience working with Building Management Systems
  • Previous experience with Factory Witness Testing and Site Acceptance Testing
