Specialty equipment manufacturer is in need of a talented Mechanical Assembler for the assembly and troubleshooting of hi-tech equipment / machinery. The Mechanical Assembler assists with start-up and testing of machinery to ensure equipment meets performance standard and requirements. The position reports to the Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering prints/specifications, electrical schematics, manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written instructions to determine necessary assembly of machine.
- Assemble complex mechanical units where a high degree of problem-solving and extreme care, skilled workmanship, and accuracy are required to meet strict inspection, testing and operating specifications.
- Position, erect, align, level; position sub-assemblies, units, and separates components and integrate their operations; performs fitting, aligning, timing, calibrating, and other operations incidental to the mechanical assembly of the machine.
- Assist Technicians & customers with Factory Acceptance Tests of their machines.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Inspect parts for proper machining finish and dimensions; checks sub-assemblies and units.
- Use a variety of precision measuring and gauging instruments e.g. scale, calipers, etc., to inspect and verify conformance of parts to specifications/tolerances.
- Strictly follows all safety requirements for hand and power tool operation, the assembly of parts, forklift and hoist operation, and housekeeping.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience assembling electro-mechanical equipment / machinery.
- Experience in Blueprint / drawing reading.
- Operate hand and power tools, machine shop skills.
