Cocktail Waithelp* Job Description
Primary Responsibilities: Welcome guests and greet them in a friendly manner, personalizing the service. Take orders and serve beverage to patrons. May take orders for light meals or hors d’oeuvres. Process orders through the resort’s POS system, following procedures. Present bill and accept payment according to policy and procedures. Is responsible for the set-up and cleanliness of lounge and surrounding area. Must adhere to applicable liquor laws and resort’s service procedures.
Essential Duties:
1. Clean tables and chairs and set up seating area for cocktail service.
2. Welcome and greet guests in a friendly manner, personalizing the service.
3. Able to answer questions regarding the drinks and make recommendations and upsell when possible.
4. Take drink orders and input all food/beverage orders in the resort’s POS system.
5. Follow County regulations and hotel policies in serving alcoholic beverages.
6. Order food from restaurant or room service at guest’s request.
7. Serve appetizers offer at the bar.
8. Remove used glasses and clear tables.
9. Consistently perform tasks as specified on sequence of service standards and SOPs.
10. Recognize and appropriately respond to irate patrons; contact hotel manager on potential problems.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Other Duties:
1. Recommend the resort’s restaurants and facilities to guests
2. Clean and secure lounge and surrounding area at closing.

- Lighting may be limited depending upon the venue
- Outdoor venues would be subject to various weather conditions.
