Math/English Teacher (PT)

Eye Level Learning Center of Carrollton is a dynamic after-school enrichment learning center, is seeking experienced English Language Arts instructors and/or Math teachers to tutor students from grades pre-K to 10. All teaching materials are provided. The instructors will work with students in an individual or small group setting. This is part-time teaching but, year-round position.
Requirements:

• College student or above with at least 20 units complete.
• Montessori experience or certified are welcome to apply.
• Excellent communication skills with adults and children.
• Sense of responsibility.
• Patience, enthusiasm, willingness to work with children.
• Hours can be discussed at the interview (minimum of 10- 15 hours/week.
• Proficient knowledge in Reading and Writing – all candidates will be tested in Math, Reading, and Writing, prior to the interview.

Hours:

• Monday - Online (optional).
• Tuesday -4:00PM - 6:30PM.
• Wednesday- 4:00PM -6:30PM.
• Thursday- 4:00PM - 6:30PM.
• Friday- 4:00PM-6:30PM.
• Saturday- Online (optional).

Just retired ISD teachers are welcomed to apply. Student teachers are welcomed to apply.
General Responsibilities:

• Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the Center policy.
• Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.).
• Discuss with the Director of students’ progress after every session or end of the business day.
• Personnel (instructor, center assistant) management.
• May start off with grading booklets, in the beginning, to become familiar with the program.
