Responsibilities: The Surgical Materials Specialist is responsible for keying, and promptly putting away all supplies within the OR, reviewing inventory levels, picking scheduled surgical cases, as well as emergency supply requests. They require a detailed understanding of the ordering process, inventory management, surgical supply acquisition expertise, independent judgment and discretion in decision-making and problem solving.Qualifications: Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
Minimum Experience:
1-3 years’ experience with hospital inventory control, including computerized Supply Chain Information systems, preferred. Surgical supply related experience is preferred.

Working Conditions:
Works inside surgical suite facilities. Interacts with operating room staff and physicians. Works closely with Supply Chain Department.
