The Material Handler is responsible for the customer service aspects of the plant, this would include but not limited to, corn receiving, ethanol loadout, DDGS loadout, chemical receiving and other miscellaneous duties assigned by management, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:- Unloads grain trucks to maintain adequate plant inventories.
- Loads ethanol and DDGS trucks and railcars for customer delivery.
- Maintain complete and accurate logs associated with the Material Handlers area of the plants. This includes but not limited to, daily bag house logs, daily fugitive dust logs and other duties assigned by management.
- Communicates regularly with all other employees and assists all other employees and departments as required for efficient plant operation.
- Participates in projects as needed or assigned by management that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Demonstrates active participation in all safety, health and environmental programs. Participates in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
- Communicates directly with supervisor to complete light maintenance and repair work in the grains area. Participates in the plant maintenance program including completing preventive maintenance as required.
- Keeps the grains area, ethanol load out, and DDGS area clean and orderly.
- Participate in training of new employees as directed by Supervisor.
- May complete training to provide backup to Production Operators.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Additional Essential Duties and Responsibilities if working the 3-2-2 Schedule:
- Assist in Operations related activities as directed by supervisor.
- On weekends takes direction from Production Supervisor on duty.
- Complete training to provide backup to Production Operators.

Requirements
- This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of the ethanol production process/technology or related industry is preferred.
