Job Overview:

Material Handler - Windsor, VA

As the Material Handler you will execute storage, material handling, replenish and fulfillment functions within the Plant while meeting our World Class Manufacturing and Distribution standards.
Shift & Schedule:
This is a full time position working our 2-2-3 Days schedule working 6:00am-6:15pm. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.
  • Week 1: Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday
  • Week 2: Sunday Wednesday Thursday
Compensation: The starting rate of pay for this position is $19.50 per hour.

What you will do:

  • Move raw materials and finished goods to and from Production areas
  • Complete system transactions for every physical movement in a timely and accurate manner
  • Replenish pick locations as needed
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate forklifts within the Safety standards
  • Report forklift maintenance issues/error codes and fill out inspection sheets daily
  • Audit discrepancies with inventory using transaction history
  • Participate and assist inventory cycle counts and reconciliation
  • Support all production teams in plant as needed
  • Pick product for customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Use SAP transactions to process orders
  • Operate semi-automatic pallet wrappers as needed
Requirements:
  • Ability to quickly learn and safely operate powered industrial trucks. 6 months of forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Lift, push, and pull a minimum 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, stretch and sit or stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb into forklift, bend, stoop, and twist.
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
