Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform duties to requisition and store materials, parts and components.
- Accumulate and move items/containers to designated areas. Interact with other departments.
- Work from schedules, shop orders, CRT and instructions.
- Review production schedules for period and perform Electronic Data Interchange or other ordering techniques for parts, materials or supplies to meet requirements. Select and accumulate material parts, verify identity, quantity, condition and record or call attention to shortages, defective or damaged material and store/move items to designated areas.
- Visually check work to maintain quality standards and notify supervisor or recurring defects and operating difficulties.
- Assist in unpacking or unloading items from trucks and other carriers.
- Prepare tickets/maintain records and other documents as required.
- Assist with physical inventories as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education, Skills, and Work Experience:
- Ability to operate a fork truck.
- Ability to use hand and power tools and other material handling equipment to include, but not limited to: pallet jack, hand truck, CRT, Microcomputer, EDI, fax and bar coding equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow verbal/written work instructions.
- Ability to perform work safely and follow safety policies/rules and regulations.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to work from schedules, shop orders, CRT and instructions.
- Must have a valid license for powered industrial trucks or pass written assessments after classroom training.
