Job Description
Kalman & Company Inc. is seeking a Material Handler in Chesapeake, VA. This position will be responsible for general warehouse tasks, shipping and receiving, documenting the receipt and issue of material, inventory validation, and inventory reporting. Knowledge of CBR masks and individual protection equipment is desired. Applicants must have a willingness to follow all safety and conduct rules, and comply with company policies. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Extended periods of standing, lifting, and carrying up to 40 lbs and some travel will be required. This position falls under the DOL’s Service Contract Act (SCA).

Candidate will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Duties involve one or more of the following: manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.
