Job Description

To help ensure efficient operations in the Finished Good warehouse and Packaging department. Utilize, using the powered fork-truck, material movements from warehouse to packaging and organization of finished goods (wrapping and storing).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Ensures accuracy of inventory in SAP, visual, as well as other systems
Uses SAP and other computer applications to look up inventory, request transfers, and for consumption of materials to the active process order and reversal of components not used
Stages materials on the packaging line to ensure efficient operations
Disposes of trash from the packaging facility to the dumpster. The frequency is once or twice a shift, depending on line rejection levels.
Keeping packaging component areas, staging areas organized, clutter free and tidy
Transfers in/out of finished goods warehouse including finished goods and packaging components
Serves as back up for packaging technicians
Operates the high reach, pallet jack, and forklift
Assures the accuracy of line flush drum weights and transfers to production
Transfer Bulk Transfer Totes (BTT) to and from production to packaging.
Keep finished goods Warehouse and Packaging suite clean and organized
Performs other duties as assigned



Qualifications
Education/Experience
  • Minimum of High school diploma(or equivalent) with 2-3 years of warehouse experience required
  • Certification in class 1, 2 and 3 fork trucks required.
  • Experience with Inventory control systems (SAP), Cycle counts
Key Competencies
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine inventory transfer reports and correspondence in email form to other departments such has QA, Logistics and Manufacturing.
  • Must be able to wear face mask respirator and required personal protection equipment
  • Creative thinking and able to present various solutions to warehouse and component staging and inventory problems
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivated disposition
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Leadership skills and coaching skills to facilitate projects of 5S and inventory improvement projects
