Material Handler-2nd Shift, $16/hr Starting, $21/hr After 90 Days

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Material Handler-2nd Shift for its Mount Pleasant, PA location. This role is responsible for receiving incoming material and checks it to specification. Training will be conducted initially on 1st shift. Second shift hours are 2:45 pm – 11:00 pm. Must be able to work weekends, overtime, & holidays. Any offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Your responsibilities

• Properly identifies stores and disperses material
• Properly identifies packs and loads material for shipment
• Process all necessary paperwork for all incoming supplies and material and outgoing product
• Check materials to orders and drawings
• Uses hand trucks, power trucks, power tools and other packaging equipment, cranes or other devices to move equipment, material, etc.
• Must be able to use the computer to process all incoming and outgoing material and generate appropriate paperwork for shipment
• Assists with any on-the-job training requirements and performs other duties of equal or lower classification as directed
• Operate company truck to transport materials between sites
• Responsible for safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment
• Count pieces, report shortages, excesses, spoilage, and malfunctions to the supervisor
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining own work area.

Your background

• Required:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills
• Able to work all shifts (including weekends, overtime, & holidays)
• Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Preferred:
• Experience working in warehouse environment.
