  • The Manager, Marketing Operations Training leads the development and execution of training materials as they pertain to the U.S. Commercial Material Review Process (Veeva PromoMats) and the Material Review and Promotion Team.


    The Manager, Marketing Operations Training provides:

    • Strategic training leadership to the U.S. AbbVie Commercial organization and the Material Review and Marketing Operations teams.
    • The development of effective training materials and execution of training plans.
    • Open communication of training material status with appropriate Material Review and Promotion Team leadership.
    • Tactical support and project timeline management of training materials through material review process (Veeva PromoMats).
    • Knowledge of cross-functional training needs relative to the U.S. Abbvie Commercial organization and the Material Review and Promotion Team.


    Core Responsibilities:

    As the subject matter expert (SME), this position serves as the Material Review and Promotion department training liaison across the commercial organization, providing:

    • Strategic leadership in the development of Commercial Material Review (Veeva PromoMats) process training plans.
    • Execution of Veeva PromoMats process and systems training to U.S. Abbvie Commercial Marketers and Sales Trainers, to allow Marketers and Sales Trainers to develop and deliver innovative and effective marketing materials for our patients.
    • Responsible for designing training materials for the U.S. Commercial Material Review (Veeva PromoMats) process and required training for the Material Review and Promotion Team.
    • Lead design, execution and maintenance of an onboarding program for the Material Review and Promotion Team.
    • Lead collaboration with key stakeholders throughout AbbVie Commercial organization (i.e., Medical, Regulatory, IT, other business organization), to develop material review and Veeva PromoMats training.
    • Create/update job aids for work processes associated with the Commercial Material Review and Veeva PromoMats process.
    • Design and develop creative training resource tools (i.e. videos, interactive games) to impact the training audience.
    • Update and maintain (including user access) the Material Review and Promotion Training Team Educ8 SharePoint Site.
    • Supply Agency Trainer(s) with necessary training materials for effective execution of agency training.
    • Lead/Facilitate bi-monthly Material Review and Promotion Team Huddle Meeting.
    • Lead/Facilitate bi-monthly training meetings for the Material Review and Promotion Team.
    • Attend key offsite leadership meetings related to the Commercial Material Review Process (Veeva PromoMats) Operations.
    • Benchmark off other AbbVie training areas and courses to enhance individual skill level for training plan and material development.

    People Management: Role may require the management of contractors

      • Willingness to learn and adapt to new training techniques.


Qualifications

  • Basic:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Science, Education, Communication or related.
  • 8+ years developing or Project Managing Training materials or equivalent experience
  • Strong planning and organizational skills are required to successfully multi-task and problem solve.
  • Preferred:

  • Knowledge and prior experience in training plan development and execution, marketing, and communication or advertising agency experience is a plus.
  • Experience building strategic training programs for internal and external (agency) audiences
  • Working knowledge in Adobe Acrobat; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign and Veeva PromoMats
  • Possesses ability to learn and adapt to other software tools as necessary.
  • Knowledge and prior experience with AbbVie products, marketing, and communication or advertising agency experience is a plus.
  • Print production knowledge is a plus.
