Job Description

The marketing operations manager is responsible for the strategy and execution of the marketing infrastructure and metrics used to measure overall business impact by leveraging data, systems and processes to ensure optimal execution. They possess a mix of analytical, data-driven, technical, creative and operational knowledge required to accelerate organizational growth and establish business cases and best-in-class efficiencies for all major activities of the marketing team in collaboration with leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for marketing data ownership and management as well as alignment with relevant corporate data initiatives
  • Create and manage regular reporting on marketing performance, enabling marketing teams to manage their business and make effective decisions to optimize marketing campaigns and programs
  • Create and manage attribution models to give insight into buyer journey to increase quality leads and optimize movement through the funnel
  • Evaluate and analyze the reports to provide insights and recommendations on how to optimize marketing activities to deliver the highest ROI
  • Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation-Marketo, CRM-Salesforce) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in the development and implementation of key demand creation, automated nurturing, and lead scoring programs to execute on right customer, right content, right channel and right time.
  • Assist internal stakeholders in execution of marketing campaigns reporting processes within the department’s marketing automation platform, Marketo.
  • Analyze customer buying patterns and use models across geography, industry vertical and segment
  • Acquire and align data with internal sales and commercial organizations.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years experience in B2B inbound and marketing operations in the PaaS, SaaS, cloud or mobile technology industries.
  • Proven experience creating reporting and analytics frameworks, complex data compilation and analysis, and translating data into compelling visuals and actionable information
  • Deep understanding of the modern B2B sales model and how to track and measure progress through the funnel
  • Experience with Marketo, Salesforce, and visual BI analytics tools (i.e. Tableau, OBIEE, PowerBI)
  • Strong teaming skills and experience to bring together diverse views and communicate/collaborate effectively
  • Strong creative, problem solving and strategic thinking abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to drive results on-time and with high quality
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work independently and pro-actively in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities and deadlines
  • Ability to quickly move from strategy to tactics and work proficiently across all marketing disciplines
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
