The Marketing Director will be responsible for overseeing the company’s marketing strategy as well as the creation and implementation of marketing programs in support of the company’s growth initiatives. The position requires an individual who can take projects from concept to implementation and has a proven track record in a marketing environment.
Manager Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities:
The essential duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrates a positive attitude towards customers, company partners, and coworkers.
- Collaborates with department heads or staff to discuss topics such as budgets and contracts, marketing plans, and the selection of advertising media.
- Ensures all marketing efforts accurately conveys the company’s image and culture. Helps drive the company vision with support and collaboration from the President and other company directors.
- Plans promotional campaigns such as contests, coupons, or giveaways.
- Plans advertising campaigns including which media to advertise in, such as radio, television, print, billboards, website, digital, and social.
- Initiates market research studies and analyzes their findings to understand customer and market opportunities.
- Verifies advertising results are truthful, accurate, and not misleading.
- Reviews advertising success by evaluating impact on store traffic and sales.
- Oversees an annual advertising budget. Creates an annual advertising budget based on company needs and maintains advertising costs are within that set budget.
- Develops a detailed monthly advertising calendar and distributes to managers before the next month. Details include but are not limited to specials, promotions, events, and holidays.
- Communicates with the company’s advertising partners regularly to negotiate the best rates and look for opportunities to be more efficient.
- Revises TV and video promotion spots for recurring advertisings throughout the year by verifying content is up-to-date and attractive.
- Prepares all signage, posters, and tags for upcoming sales/promotions and distributes to store locations.
- Ensures invoices and renewal contracts for company’s advertising partners are current and maintained.
- Develops pricing strategies for products or services marketed to the target customers.
- Confirms any advertising proofs are completed 2-4 weeks prior to release date.
- Processes reports to outline marketing and advertising efforts and evaluate success.
- Evaluates the look and feel of competitor’s websites and maintains current, relevant advertising on company’s website.
- Oversees advertising on various social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
- Determines ways to be more effective, meet goals, and streamline processes.
- Meets department goals by ensuring efforts are maximized and deadlines are met.

Qualifications:
- A BA or BS degree in marketing, communications, advertising, graphic design, or related field is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of marketing experience is required.
- Prior experience in a leadership role is required.
- Must possess proficiency level in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite programs including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- This position requires periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull of objects up to 20 pounds as needed for general office duties.
