We’re looking for a Marketing Communications Trainee, who upon completion of the training program, will transition into a full time marketing role to act as the pivot point between our product groups and other marketing resources to help bring products to market, increase brand awareness and support our sales efforts. Knowledge of welding is not required, but an affinity for modern marketing practices and techniques is a must.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Participate in a 9 month comprehensive training program and the Euclid OH facility, including:
- Partner with senior Marketing Communications team members on product launches or developing a campaign
- Participate in various soft skills training, such as public speaking, written communication skills, presentation skills, time management negotiation, etc.
- Travel to a district sales office for a week in the field experience and exposure to customers
- Assist with product demonstrations, training and other marketing communications specific assignments
- Complete a guaranteed cost reduction project at an actual end user location
- Complete 15 weeks of The Lincoln Electric Weld School hands-on weld training, including periodic welding skills test
- Develop a thorough understanding of arc welding safety issues, fundamentals and processes.
- Develop a strong knowledge of all Lincoln Electric equipment, consumables, accessories and service products. Learn to apply these products to the appropriate application
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, and Business, or comparable discipline is required
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Understanding of B2B and B2C communications practices.
- Proficient in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of desktop publishing software
- Excellent project management skills is desired
- Familiar with organizational social media, web content creation and management, analytics, search engine optimization, and online advertising programs
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Desire to work in an fast paced, industrial environment
- Flexibility and ability to work remotely upon completion of program
