Job Description

Position Purpose: This position will focus on the creation of content in coordination with company objectives and strategies that will be shared across several communication channels, including but not limited to, social media, websites, internal communication feeds and newsletters.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal personnel and industry professionals to create content for a variety of platforms including blogs, websites, newsletters and social media.
  • Develop content strategies to effectively reach the desired target audience while meeting marketing goals.
  • Researching content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing.
  • Managing content calendars to ensure that the content remains consistent and timely across all platforms.
  • Other responsibilities include:
    • Assisting with website, newsletter and digital campaign creation, maintenance and updates.
    • Assisting other members of the marketing team with various tasks.

Position Skills/Educational Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Communication, Journalism or related field.
  • Experience in social, blog, web and email content creation.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and/or Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Sheets)
  • Excellent communicator, verbal and written, with high attention to detail and outstanding grammar.
  • Ability to proofread communications created by others and give feedback in a tactful manner.
  • Must have good team working skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable managing processes from ideation to completion.
  • Previous experience with email marketing platforms and email construction and a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript, preferred.
