Bellesini Academy is seeking a highly motivated professional who is committed to the mission and vision of the school. He/she will work closely with the Head of School and Development Staff to manage the day to day operations of the development office, increase social media presence, public relations, and communication, and assist with events. Candidates must be very self-motivated, highly dependable, organized and skilled in many areas including data management, writing, and communications.

Blessed Stephen Bellesini, O.S.A. Academy is an independent Catholic middle school dedicated to providing a quality scholarship education to young men and women from limited financial means living in Lawrence. The mission of the school is to provide an academically challenging and highly structured environment that develops the potential for each student to succeed in competitive secondary schools and colleges.
Bellesini Academy utilizes a proven model of education that specifically addresses the needs of at-risk youth who live below the poverty line. We provide small classes, rigorous curriculum, after-school sports and clubs, supervised homework time and a four-week summer program. These integrated components ensure that each student, prepared for entrance to a college preparatory high school. Our students on average gain two grade levels a year in standardized tests in language arts and math and 100% of our graduates are accepted to private preparatory high schools on scholarship.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate all publications, including newsletters, annual report, appeals, mailings, e-newsletters, and other donor communications;
- Coordinate public relations and social media;
- Assist with the implementation of the student sponsorship program;
- Assist with organizing fundraising, awareness and community events;
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers from the community to support the many different activities of our school, such as evening study and dinner program;
- Complete other tasks as assigned by senior staff.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in fundraising or related field;
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to use them with diverse constituents, including donors, trustees, volunteers, etc.;
- High level of organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; and
- Computer literacy and experience in database software.
