- Proactively seeks ways to develop and expand customer relationships for the markets within the region through marketing and advertising, customer contact programs, and other prospecting techniques.
- Lead a team of Retail Bankers to achieve branch sales and referral goals by identifying, marketing, and cross-selling banking products and services beneficial to customer needs.
- Provide guidance and support to the Retail Banking department through the management of market/branch lead generating events, onboarding and attrition management, phone etiquette management, customer relationship management and branch merchandising management.
- Will track and measure performance of staff including product knowledge, product cross-sales, referrals, and account/loan production. Will complete performance evaluations and find solutions to issues as they arise.
- Have in depth knowledge and assist with a variety of customer transactions accurately and efficiently in adherence to bank policies and regulations such as opening accounts, loans, and ancillary product opening/enrollment and servicing/maintenance.
- Responsible for the scheduling of daily hours, rotations, and vacations to ensure proper coverage for excellent customer service.
- May oversee staff at multiple locations and must be willing to travel between the locations.
- Keep up to date with changes in the banking industry and constantly be aware of the Bank’s competition. i.e., rates, services, new products, etc.
- Enhance customer satisfaction and the professional reputation of the Bank by engaging and developing good professional relationships with customers and host retail partners.
- Must be a self-starter with an outgoing and personable demeanor.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to a changing environment.
- Must have detailed knowledge of banking rules and regulations and an ability to lead and supervise people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach and influence.
- Must be punctual and maintain a good attendance record.
- Must understand group dynamics and the ability to develop productive and cooperative teamwork among subordinates and peers.
- Must be coachable, eager to learn, get along with co-workers, and deal with colleagues effectively and professionally.
- This is a high-profile customer contact job requiring a person to be professional in both dress and attitude, and who enjoys interacting with customers.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Requires a detailed knowledge of bank products.
- Ability to interpret Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Must be able to multi-task and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Possess computer knowledge and the ability to learn and use various computer software programs.
