Hagadone Marine has an exciting career opportunity in our service center. We are hiring a Service Advisor to assist our customers to have the "Best on Water Experience" possible! We are conducting interviews for this position NOW!

This job is an ideal way for someone in the industry to have a chance to work for one of the best and fastest growing marine sales and service organizations in the United States. This job would be an idea way for someone with solid service advising experience in the automotive, motor sports or RV industry to break into the exciting and rewarding marine industry. This is an office position with a designated desk, computer and phone.

Pay:
DOE - this is a salaried position.
Bonus pay available.

Responsibilities and general requirements are as follows:

Key Responsibility Areas

  • General Service Writing
  • Communicates with clients about boat problems, service needs and warranty issues
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients to ensure repeat and return customers
  • Approaches transactions with sales-minded professionalism and suggestively sell products and services to clients, including making clients aware of all packages and retail options available
  • Answers customer questions about services offered

Major Duties
Service Administration

  • Maintain neat and clean service facilities & equipment.
  • Ability to read work order requests and ensure that boats are efficiently and effectively moved for technician/haul-launch schedules.
  • Maintain 100% up-to-date schedule and Launch Master entries.
  • Document all customer repair needs on a service repair order.
  • Recommend any changes in procedures that will improve efficiency.
  • Make sure all billings are collected as per company policy.
  • Compute customer billings and warranty billings.
  • Use and maintain the HMG standardized system for boat movement.
  • Ability to implement effective and efficient work procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer boats and locations.
  • Good knowledge of all Google based request forms, applications and sheets including; Parts Request, Estimate Request, Boat Movement Request, Yard Porter Request and check-in sheets. Use request forms in course of daily duties whenever appropriate.
  • Maintain accuracy of boat and trailer location maps.
  • Knowledge of OEM and recommended maintenance schedules for all boat engines and products.

Personnel Administration

  • Supervise assistants.
  • Team building and promote interdepartmental relationships.
  • Work directly with Service Manager, Shop Foreman, and Haul/Launch team to coordinate all boat and trailer movement.
  • Attend instructional courses as needed

Sales & Customer Relations

  • Explore ways to better serve customers (Internal & External).
  • Develop ways to communicate with customers to maintain a “personalized environment” and obtain feedback to monitor customer satisfaction. (ie. greeting customers, boat locations, ease of access for customer pick up, signage, etc.)
  • Attend boat show and other special events as needed.
  • Superior execution of high product quality, attentive, responsive and attractive service staff and warm, fun atmosphere.

Schedule Requirements and Physical Demands:

  • Able to work an average of 40 hours per week.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, which include weekends, nights, days, and holidays.
  • Able to walk and stand on your feet 8 to 10 hours at a time.
  • Able to walk on tile, carpet, and up and down stairs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
