Job Description
The Marblehead Public Schools are currently seeking well-qualified candidates for the position of Substitute Teacher, grades 7 -12th for the 2021 - 2022 academic year. Please submit your application online through our partnership with SchoolSpring.JOB TITLE: Substitute Teacher Grades 7 - 12LOCATION: Veterans Middle School and the High School REPORTS TO: Principal and SuperintendentPOSITION GOAL: The substitute teacher is the temporary primary instructional delivery person in the classroom. Student achievement and growth are primarily dependent on the work and efforts of the substitute teacher. The position is demanding, varied and complex.

The substitute teacher must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be well trained in content knowledge and teaching strategies.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors or higher degreeTeaching experience preferredMassachusetts DESE license preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED: Interpersonal communication skillsAnalytical skillsOrganizational skillsAbility to work well with peopleKnowledge and implementation of relevant technologyAbility to effectively plan and implementKnowledge of curriculum and program development processesCurrent knowledge of subject matter program and curriculum areasEffective conflict resolution skillsFrequent deadlines under pressureUse technology for instructionMultitasking amidst interruptions, changing priorities and adjustable timelinesTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must undergo Cori and fingerprinting prior to hire.On call and temporary.Salary: $80 per day
