Job Description
Nurse Long-Term Substitute and COVID CoordinatorReports to the Superintendent of Schools and Lead NurseThe Marblehead Public Schools is currently seeking a well-qualified full time School Nurse Long-Term Substitute and District COVID Nurse Coordinator for a one year 2021-2022sy appointment. Candidates must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts. This position will be located at the PreK through Kindergarten Eveleth School starting on August 30th until the opening of the new Brown School and will be traveling between school buildings a few times a week to complete and manage all COVID related testing procedures. The school nurse should be prepared to: -Assess and evaluate the students' health-Provide emergency care in case of injury or sudden illness-Provide required health service for school personnel-Provide for personal care needs of physically handicapped pupils as required in their educational plans.-Communicate and interact effectively with students and parents.

- Provide regular recurring COVID testing at all school buildings-Coordinate with courier services for the pickup of all testing samples-Organize and track the testing results-Regularly communicate with the Superintendent of Schools, Lead Nurse and building nurses to share testing results and inform of positive cases-Work in collaboration with the Lead Nurse to notify families of quarantine protocols-Attend school committee meetings on an as needed basis -Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent, Lead Nurse or his/her designeeRequirementsMassachusetts DESE licensureA Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursingCPR certifiedA minimum of two full years of employment as a Registered Nurse in a child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing setting. School Health Nursing experience preferred.
