Manufacturing Technician Role


Major job responsibilities identified are (not limited to)


  • Support manufacturing process teams and maintain PPE stocks for daily operations.
  • Daily collection of process waste. and discarding safely.
  • Operate dishwasher and wash manufacturing process material as needed.
  • Upkeep washer room.
  • Perform weekly safety equipment checks of eyewash fire extinguishers and safety shower.
  • Sterilization load patterns to follow and operate autoclave with materials needed for sterilization.
  • Unload autoclave and distribute materials in lab and shelves.
  • Maintain stock of clean autoclave materials in the manufacturing suites.
  • Prepare needed media and buffers in accordance with SOPs.
  • Clean and organize chemical/prep room.
  • Clean and organize media preparation room.
  • Calibrate balances in media preparation room.
  • Organize lab facility maintaining proper organization and cleanliness.
  • Daily monitoring and periodic cleaning of lab equipment incubators, water baths etc.
  • Check HPLC eluate bin, recycle, and garbage bins as necessary.
  • Collect biohazard waste from labs and place in allotted Stericycle bins.
  • Maintaining a stock of:
    • supplies, process requirements
    • Autoclave supplies (sterilization indicator tape, Tyvek pouches, elastic bands, etc.)
    • PPE supplies: shoe covers, lab coats, beard nets, hair nets disposable gloves.
  • Other duties as required.
